First four teams earn spots at Nike Cross Nationals By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Camila Noe led Bozeman to a NXR Northwest title defense Saturday at Eagle Island State Park in Idaho. Noe was the overall girls winner, turning the tables on Idaho champion Lexy Halladay, the Bob Firman Invitational champion. Jesuit of Portland will join Bozeman at Nike Cross Nationals as the second automatic girls qualifier. On the boys side, Washington schools Central Valley and Kamiakin aced out the higher ranked Oregon schools to punch tickets to Portland for NXN. Jesuit, ranked in the top 10, finished sixth. And Crater, ranked No. 13, was third. Central Valley lost the Washington Class 4A team title last week by one point, 85-86, to Spokane's Lewis & Clark. James Mwaura won the boys regional championship for the second straight year. More information coming. Stay tuned.
